Zero waste textile upcycling
Our Commitment

Zero Waste Promise

Every piece of donated clothing finds a purpose, whether it's worn again, upcycled into a product, or transformed into warmth for a family in winter. Nothing goes to waste. Ever.

Every Cloth Finds a Purpose

Our three-path system ensures not a single thread is wasted.

Path 1

Can Be Worn

Goes directly to community sales (₹10–₹50) or the monthly curated sale for urban audiences.

Path 2

Can Be Upcycled

Becomes a Re-Vibe product: shoes, apparel, or accessories made by women in stitching units.

Path 3

Heavily Worn

Transformed into a Godadi winter mattress, providing warmth to a family in need.

Program 1

Re-Vibe

Our Upcycled Product Range

Re-Vibe is India Recycles' in-house brand of upcycled products. All items are made primarily from donated clothes that can no longer be reworn or reused as-is.

We've established stitching units in slum communities across Ahmedabad and Vadodara, where trained women convert waste textiles into entirely new products: shoes, apparel and accessories.

Sales revenue from Re-Vibe products is distributed equally among all the women workers involved in production, creating dignified and stable livelihoods.

The Godadi Project

Warmth from Waste

The Godadi Project is the final step in our zero-waste loop: it takes all the leftover materials that could not be recycled or reworn and transforms them into godadis, traditional Indian winter mattresses that provide warmth to families in need.

Operating from a stitching unit in Ganeshnagar, Ahmedabad, the program employs local women who manufacture these mattresses from the supplied materials, which are then sold back to sustain the work. Sale proceeds are shared equitably among the workers, giving them a steady source of income.

This program ensures that even the most worn-out donated clothes find a dignified second life, while creating income for women who need it most.
