India Recycles organises curated second-hand clothing events for urban audiences in Ahmedabad. These events showcase higher-end donated items at affordable prices.
The goal is to normalise buying pre-loved in urban, moneyed populations, and shift cultural attitudes towards sustainable consumption. The clothes that land here are the pieces that deserve a second life in a wardrobe, not a landfill.

The process
How a Thrift Sale runs
- 1Volunteers pull out the standout pieces while sorting: branded, barely worn, or too good to price at ₹10.
- 2Those pieces are cleaned, checked and curated into a collection worth shopping.
- 3We announce the event and host it at a venue in the city, often with a partner.
- 4Shoppers buy pre-loved at affordable prices, and leave having seen second-hand done well.
- 5Revenue goes straight back into our health, education and livelihood programs.
- 6Whatever does not sell returns to the cycle: Community Sales, Re-Vibe, or Zero Waste.
