But now is the time for change..
India Recycles is a campaign started with an aim to promote the sustainable model of various concepts surrounding the Reuse & Recycling of products through the collection of various pre-owned items as donations. The target is to bring this awareness to every community, class and society of the city.

Hi, myself Haris, I am basically an IT professional, and over weekends I like to engage in social services, so, I saw the initiative of India Recycles on social media. So, I found this concept unique because many of the social services gives things free of cost and the things which are given for free, it does not hold any value. If the thing is free, you give less importance to them. And the
things over here are sold at minimal rate of Rs. 10, Rs.20, Rs.30, Rs. 40. So, the poor person who buys it, values it. So, I find this concept unique and nice. And 2 nd thing, that this is related to recycling, pre-owned things are sold, so that pre-owned things do not go to waste. So, this concept is unique and good. I have been working since past 2-3n months and it feels good to work.

I have come here for volunteering, before this, I had come for volunteering at other two sites. I liked the concept, that if, one thing that you give as donation it is like a momentary happiness, but if someone earns it, then they feel that this is mine. So, on many NGOs are working on the thought & perception of donating, but there should be a concept that you earn something. Just now, a small girl bought a purse, she told, that this is my purse, a small girl of four years, so that sense of happiness & ownership one feels is very beautiful. On Sundays I can go to IIM road to eat parathas with my friends, but the feeling I will not get there which I get here. For branded clothes or even normal clothes, people don’t go outside to buy it, they feel that it might be costly, hence, for a single piece of cloth people don’t go outside to buy. So, here when people buy clothes, they think that instead of going out to get clothes for Rs. 100, they buy from sale, as from here they can get clothes for entire family in Rs. 100. People gather friends & neighbors, that lets go for sale. The feeling they get when they go to big markets, so this a market for them.

We are from Ganeshnagar and the organisation gives us good clothes and gives us at minimal price so we buy and we don’t have to go to market and the organisation gives us so we buy from here. We do labour work so we like these clothes, we get for Rs. 10 – Rs. 20, so we like the clothes and so we wear these clothes.
My name is Satishkumar, I live in poor settlement, these clothes these people bring are very nice. For us poor, this is very nice. Main thing is that in markets at this minimal price we don’t get these many clothes and the clothes are very clothes. I am a labour, I need new clothes daily, the clothes get dirty due to sand so I can’t wear them daily. These are cheap clothes so I can change to new clothes on daily basis and now at this price you will not get good clothes like these. I am buying clothes from here since past 3-4 years. This what I have worn I got from the sale only. It is good and fitting is also nice.
